Is it difficult to become a Personal Tailor?
No it is not. It would be wrong to say anyone can do it, because it takes a certain kind of personality to be able to call upon people in their homes or place of work, and help them decide on something as personal as clothing. On the other hand learning to do the job is not difficult; our training system will have you up and running with total confidence very quickly.
Also be assured we will not send you out to your own at first. We help you to find your first prospective customers we then visit them together, and act as your assistant in the measuring, just to make sure nothing can go wrong.
What about employing an assistant?
You may well wish to employ someone to work for you. Meeting clients, doing fitting etc.
What is the charge for management services?
You will not be asked to pay any kind of on-going fees. Royalty or marketing costs. We regard these as being our cost. You will earn a clearly defined margin on all sales you make and keep the entire profit.
What form of continuing help will I receive?
You will receive periodic scheduled visits from a representative who will provide experienced guidance. You will also receive a free loan copy of the Business Process manual (BPM) our confidential operations manual covering all our systems, policies and procedures as well as use of our telephone help-line service.
Tell me about the training
You must attend the initial training course at our national training centre. This course is designed to provide an understanding of all aspects of running your business. Training costs are included in your franchise fee, the cost of travel and lodging are not.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes, you are totally free to set you own prices. We will however offer you guidance.
Can I sell my business?
Yes, you can sell your business at any time. We must approve the buyer's suitability, only however in the same way as we do with all new franchisees.
What are the working hours?
You book your own appointments so it up to you. Generally 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday seems right. Saturday morning however can be very profitable.
What about cash flow?
Once you have invested in your franchise and provided for the start-up costs you should take cash for more than 60% of sales up front. Our profit margins should then be enough to keep your cash flow positive.
Can I be a franchisee?
We take a great deal of care in selection. Unless you truly want to succeed and are willing to give us your all, then we are not for you. The well-being of our entire business relies on our franchisees. Our reputation and that of all our other franchisees hangs on the care we take. We need to know you will be a team player.
